Katrina fills the news. The now 13 day old disaster still fills the news with stories of mismanagement and anger, rescues and praise, humanitarian heights of greatness and unbearable depths of tragedy. By now everyone's familiar with Aaron Broussard, president of suburban Jefferson Parish. He has commented on the disaster beyond Katrina's power of nature, to the disaster reflected by mistakes of human nature saying "We have been abandoned by our own country...the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina will go down as one of the worst abandonments of Americans on American soil ever in U.S. history....Bureaucracy has murdered people in the greater New Orleans area." he told the CBS early show**
I began thinking about the confusions over power, authority, and when do citizens just do what they need to in the absence of authority, or even in the face of it. because of needs. Laws and behavior in crisis create murky borders.... so today on folk plus, this is a losely linked show addressing law, lawlessness, and working on both sides of law
