Monticello, NY — The 2025 Sullivan County Real Estate Tax Foreclosure Auction will take place online only, beginning Monday, September 15, at 10 a.m. and closing Wednesday, September 17, at 10 a.m.
Sullivan County Treasurer Nancy Buck is encouraging interested bidders to register in advance at aarauctions.com. Registered participants will receive an informational packet by email that outlines auction terms and conditions, the foreclosure process, and any associated liens. An online bidders’ seminar is also available.
The auction includes parcels across the towns of Bethel, Callicoon, Cochecton, Delaware, Fallsburg, Forestburgh, Fremont, Highland, Liberty, Lumberland, Mamakating, Neversink, Rockland, Thompson, and Tusten.
There will be no formal showings of properties, though most parcels can be viewed from public roadways.
“Interested bidders should ensure they’ve done their homework: personally viewed the property or properties, checked for outstanding liens and assessments like water and sewer, and are familiar with the auction terms and conditions, particularly the taxes and fees for which they will be immediately responsible upon placement of a successful bid or bids,” Buck said.
All sales are subject to final approval by the Sullivan County Legislature.
