Fans of one of the best classic rock bands ever, Creedence Clearwater Revival, won’t want to miss the Park debut of CCR tribute band New Moon Rising on Thursday, July 7!
The season will start cruising towards the finish line on Monday, July 11, when Ekat and Friends take the stage, featuring the multitalented vocalist Ekat Pereyra. The audience can travel back to the smoky clubs of 1930’s Paris with the extraordinary musicians of the Gypsy Jazz Quintet on Thursday, July 14. Monday the 18th will bring up the classic rock’n’roll of The Fabulous 45’s (featuring members of Flashback).
Two more Festival debuts will follow. On Thursday the 21st, blues veteran Teddy Young and his band, well-known throughout NEPA and beyond, will lay down some “finely tuned, cut-throat blues,” and then Moss Henry and the Bryophytes present their good ol’ honky-tonk country music and Western swing on Monday, July 25. The series will wrap up on Thursday, July 28th with a celebration of Appalachian fiddle music featuring the ever-popular Old Time Fiddlers led by award-winning fiddler Steve Jacobi.

The Historical Society of the Town of Middletown hosts a walking tour of the Pepacton Cemetery on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m.
The cemetery, maintained by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), is located on NY Highway 30A in the Town of Andes. The remains of 1,525 people from burial grounds in the Pepacton and Cannonsville Reservoir basins were moved in the 1950s and ‘60s.
Tour guides will explain the history of the cemetery’s development and the restoration of 305 headstones and 80 unmarked graves that she coordinated under contract with the DEP.
