Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange and Sullivan Counties offers “Discipline is Not a Dirty Word,” a virtual workshop for parents and caregivers.

The four-session workshop begins Thursday, Oct. 2 and continues on Oct. 16 and 30,  and Nov. 13. Each session runs from 7-9 p.m.

This interactive series offers resources about child development, and includes parental coaching and parenting tools, as well as group discussions and Q&As.

2026 Arts for Sullivan Grants accepts applications from October 15 to December 3.  The grants, administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, have increased in amount and are for “Project Grants” up to $7,500 and “Individual Artist Fellowships” of $5,000.

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy presents a program, “Where Do the Animals Go When It Snows?” on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 2-3 pm at the Van Scott Nature Reserve in Beach Lake, PA

This program is intended for elementary-age kids and families.

They will listen to a reading of the book “Over and Under the Snow” by Kate Messner, and take part in activities to learn about wildlife in winter.

The Roxbury Arts Group invites photographers of all abilities to submit their
best photographs for the annual Community Photo Show at the Headwaters Arts Center,
in Stamford, NY. This annual exhibit is a celebration of local creativity,
and will be on display from November 22, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
Community members of all ages and at all stages of their creative development are invited to
participate in showing and selling their work. To show your work, drop off up to three
unframed photos along with an entry form to Headwaters Arts Center on November 12–15,
2025, 10a–3p. Entry forms can be completed in person when photos are dropped off. There is
no fee to enter or participate.
The opening reception celebrating the photographers featured in the exhibit will take place on
