FAMILY is offering training for volunteers for its phone and text hotlines in a series of 9 sessions in February.  Topics include domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and substance abuse, adolescent issues, suicide, and homelessness.    The deadline for enrollment is February 10.  For more information, go to familyofwoodstockinc.org



Saturday 2/13, 10 am – Listening Skills

Sunday 2/14, 1 pm – Relationship Building

Tuesday 2/16, 5:30 pm – SHP/Narcan/Hx

Thursday 2/18, 5:30 pm – Ethics, Boundaries, and Self Care

Saturday 2/20, 10 am – SafeTALK

Sunday 2/21, 1 pm – DV/IPV Overview and procedures

Tuesday 2/23, 5:30 – Imminent Risk and Safe Planning

Thursday 2/25, 5:30 pm – Mental Health First Aid

Saturday 2/27, 10 am – MHFA 2

Most sessions will be held virtually, except for SafeTALK on 2/20 and MHFA on 2/25and 2/27. Location to be determined.

The training will be conducted virtually; it is recommended that participants have both a camera and headphones and internet access is required. The training will qualify you to volunteer at any of our three walk-in centers – New Paltz, Ellenville, or Woodstock. For more information call (845) 679-2485.
