The Gallery at the Neversink General Store is holding an opening reception for an exhibit of photographs taken by explorer Frederick Cook.
The reception takes place Saturday, June 28, from 5-8 p.m.
It features photos from expeditions led by Cook to Greenland, Antarctica, Alaska, South America and the North Pole.
Cook was a Sullivan County native who achieved international fame for his visionary work as an explorer.
The exhibit is in partnership with the Frederick A. Cook Society, based at the Sullivan County Museum in Hurleyville.
