Event Details

SEEDS (Sustainable Energy and Education Development Support) of Northeastern Pennsylvania is a nonprofit environmental education organization based in Honesdale, promoting sustainable energy and sustainable living in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Upper Delaware region. Its goals include improving the health of our environment and local economy through energy efficiency and sustainability practices, such as conservation and recycling.

SEEDS will hold its Annual Membership Meeting at The Cooperage Project on September 29, 2021 at 6pm, located on 1030 Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. This event is open to the public, but only members will be able to participate in the Board Member elections.

This spring, 20 residents of Wayne, Sullivan, Delaware, and Pike Counties participated in a nine-week virtual course in climate change science and communication. This course was organized by regional leaders with the Earth to Sky Interagency Partnership, a collaboration between NASA, the National Park Service, and other organizations to promote access to NASA climate science and support excellent climate communication. At this year’s SEEDS annual membership meeting, these groups will present their experience and the projects they’re undertaking to achieve their goals.
