Honesdale, PA – Non-profit organizations in Wayne and Pike Counties, as well as the Greater Carbondale region of Lackawanna County and Forest City in Susquehanna County, can now apply for grants from the Wayne Memorial Health Foundation (WMHF). The Foundation’s Community Grant Program focuses on supporting health-related programs, including those addressing injury prevention and treatment, disease prevention, and the promotion of good health and well-being.
The WMHF Community Grant Program has a history of supporting a variety of health-related initiatives. In 2024, twenty organizations received grants, including the Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center, which received a $1,000 mini-grant to support their equine-assisted learning and therapeutic horsemanship programs.
Interested organizations must submit a completed application, including proof of 501(c)(3) status, a non-discrimination policy, a statement of objectives, target population, anticipated benefits, activities, and evaluation procedures.
