A week after allowing students to return, SUNY Oneonta temporarily closed its campus because of a COVID-19 breakout. Less than a week after that, 13% of students had tested positive and Oneonta cancelled its entire semester. In light of this news, and following its own first cases of COVID-19, SUNY New Paltz President Donald Christian wrote to students to remind them of their own responsibility to keep their school safe, saying “the virus is here.” President Christian spoke to Radio Catskill about SUNY New Paltz’s policies, procedures, and coordination with local municipalities during this pandemic.
Very crisp, clear and reassuring. Thank you!
We are 26 year community members of New Paltz and care A lot about the college!
