Pike County Children and Youth Services is seeking individuals to serve as resource parents, formerly known as foster parents. Resource parenting is a service which provides a family life experience in an approved household for children who temporarily cannot remain in their homes. The basic purpose of a resource parent is to provide a safe, nurturing environment, to promote the child’s maximum growth and development, to work toward achievement of the
permanency goal of the child.
