Located at 2758 State Route 52 in Liberty, NY—Catskill Talks is an artist talk series scheduled from June to October 2023.
It will feature local artists, musicians, poets, painters, photographers, and authors, delving into their unique artistic creations, sharing their creative process, and revealing the driving forces behind their inspiring works.
Photographer Isaac Jeffreys has always had a deep connection to the serene and historically significant Hudson Valley/Catskills region.
The captivating architecture and atmosphere found in the resorts of the Borscht Belt have long captivated Jeffreys’ imagination.
Choosing to photograph during nighttime hours, he employs techniques that create surreal effects, lending an otherworldly quality to his captivating imagery.
Isaac sees the Borscht Belt as a cultural renaissance, and his art offers a poignant reflection and response to that era.
This project is made possible in part with funds provided from a Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grant, funded by the Sullivan County Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
