The Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) faced public outcry during two recent hearings regarding proposed amendments to its “Rules of Practice and Procedure.” While the DRBC deemed the changes as necessary updates, critics, including members of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, expressed outrage.
Radio Catskill’s Patricio Robayo spoke to Meg McGuire, the founder and publisher of Delaware Currents about the issue. Delaware Currents is a news project that tells the story of the Delaware River, starting from its origin in the Catskill Mountains of New York and flowing all the way to the Delaware Bay.
NOTE: Written public comment on the proposed amendments will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 30, 2023. More about this on the DRBC’s website.
