Chief Jason Corley’s Journey in Monticello Policing.
Chief Jay Corley shares his journey with Radio Catskill’s Patricio Robayo about growing up in a law enforcement household to becoming the Chief of Police in Monticello.
Coming out of retirement to accept the chief position, Corley discusses his deep-rooted connections to policing, inspired by his father and continuing through to his son who is a NY State Trooper.
Chief Corley reflects on his initial years in law enforcement with the town of Fallsburg, eventually transitioning to Monticello for better opportunities, and how experiences like being a school resource officer profoundly shaped his career.
