The Orange County Department of Motor Vehicles is extending its operating hours at its Goshen location to meet the demand for Enhanced and Real ID driver’s licenses. The extended hours will be in effect throughout March 2025.
The DMV office, located at 255 Main Street, Goshen, NY, will be open:
* Tuesday, March 11: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (customers without appointments need to be in line by 6:00 p.m.)
* Saturday, March 22: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (customers without appointments need to be in line by 1:00 p.m.)
* Tuesday, March 25: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (customers without appointments need to be in line by 6:00 p.m.)
The hour change reflects the growing demand for Enhanced and Real ID credentials, required for domestic air travel and certain federal facilities starting May 7, 2025, under the REAL ID Act.
“We’re committed to making this process as convenient as possible for Orange County residents,” said County Clerk Kelly Eskew. “Extending our hours ensures more people can secure their Enhanced or Real ID licenses without added stress.”
Residents can book appointments online at https://www.orangecountygov.com/190/Motor-Vehicles-DMV. The extended hours will welcome walk-ins, availability permitting.
To prepare for their visit, residents should visit the DMV website https://dmv.ny.gov for a list of required documents and the MV44 form. Residents will need to bring original documents, as copies will not be accepted.
