The Farm Arts Collective theater troupe presents a “A Roving Christmas Carol,”  based on the Charles Dickens story, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 on the streets of Callicoon.

The performance begins at The Western Inn on Upper Main Street. From there, spectators are invited to follow the roving play to locations throughout Callicoon, where scenes from “A Christmas Carol” will be performed.

The event is part of Callicoon’s village-wide celebration,”Dickens on the Delaware” that takes place from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The Upper Delaware Council’s three standing committees will each meet on Tuesday, December 16^th, in person at the office in Narrowsburg, NY with a remote Zoom option. There will be no committee meetings on the typical third or fourth Tuesday of the month due to a revised holiday schedule.

The Operations Committee meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and includes the Executive Director’s report, review of financial data, and discussion of old and new business.

The Project Review Committee will convene at approximately 7:00 p.m. and include the UDC Resource and Land Use Specialist’s monthly Discussion Items Report, project updates, and old and new business.

The Water Use/Resource Management Committee will get underway at approximately 7:30 p.m. and includes updates on meetings, projects, and organizations associated with the Upper Delaware River Valley’s natural, cultural, recreational, and geological resources.

Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills host Narcan training  sponsored by Independent Living, Orange County Government, and OASAS. The training will teach participants how to recognize an overdose, administer Narcan and use harm reduction techniques. Headwaters Arts Center in Stamford, NY is providing an opportunity for community members to join in the old tradition of holiday gift making with three free crafting events on Saturday December 6th, Friday December 12th and Saturday December 20th, each from 12–2pm.
These special crafting events will include making felt ornaments (day one), creating unique gift wrapping (day two) and building gingerbread houses out of nontraditional materials (day three). Over the weekend of January 23 – 25, 2026 Murder Café and Hutton Brickyards in Kingston  collaborate on a historical murder mystery. Set in Kingston during the Gilded Age, Mystery on the Hudson will feature eight characters, four of them historic and related to Kingston’s rich past.

Mystery on the Hudson will be broken into four acts, with the first one performed on Friday night during dinner. Act two, including the murder, will be played out on Saturday morning with act three performed on Saturday night. Between Saturday night and Sunday morning guests will submit a “whodunit sheet” with their conclusions on who they think the murderer is and why. The big reveal, or act four, will be staged on Sunday morning and those who guess correctly will be eligible for prizes.

Costumes are encouraged but not required.
