The Roxbury Arts Group is administering the Delaware County Arts Grant, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, in Delaware County. Grant funds are used to support projects in three areas: Community Arts, Creative Learning, and Individual Artist. Applicants to this grant can receive up to $5000 of funding.
The application period opens October 18, 2024 and closes January 17, 2025. Attendance of an information session or a one-on-one session with the Creative Opportunities Coordinator is required. Sessions begin in late September and go through mid-December.

Every year, libraries across New York State offer a time for library patrons to give back to their communities. From October 19th to November 2nd, the Western Sullivan Public Library will be collecting “Winter Essentials” to redistribute into our community. Collection boxes will be available at the Jeffersonville, Narrowsburg and Callicoon branches. Starting November 4th, each branch will host a “Give Back Box” where anyone can pick up any winter essentials they may need or want, no questions asked. While supplies last. Each photographer may submit up to three pieces, taken by the photographer and can be any age or skill level, but anyone under age 18 must have parent/guardian permission. Submitted photos may be used in Sullivan County promotional materials.
The exhibit will run from March 1-April 30, 2025, at the Government Center, Monticello and the Sullivan County Cultural Center & Museum, Hurleyville.

Sullivan 180 hosts the 4th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Youth Summit, which will be held on Friday, January 17, 2024, at SUNY Sullivan in Loch Sheldrake.
This is a free event, open to Sullivan County youth (grades 11 & 12) to participate from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Summit is intended to inspire attending Juniors and Seniors to understand the importance of their voice and their ability to act for change. The day kicks off with a screening of Dr. King’s famous speech, “Blueprint for Life” which focuses on the principles of belief in oneself, determination and commitment. Students will participate in workshops and collaborative activities designed to open their minds and hearts to greater service for themselves, their schools and their communities.
This year’s keynote speaker is John Johnson, a dynamic communications specialist and mentor from Brooklyn, NY who is passionate about empowering youth who feel unseen and unheard to discover and activate their purpose.

SUNY Sullivan holds Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic and Refresher courses beginning February 25, 2025, at the Loch Sheldrake campus. These classes are designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in emergency medical services or current EMTs looking to refresh their certification. Classes run twice a week for 10 weeks.
