The Callicoon Depot installed a powerful new Wi-Fi Mesh network system providing approximately 7,500 square feet of wireless Internet coverage, complementing the access long provided by the Callicoon branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. It can be accessed via a QR code posted on the newly installed display case at the corner of the Depot property closest to the railroad crossing. Visitors will now have the opportunity to find needed information, residents can utilize Wi-Fi calling, and more students can do research and download assignments if they are without broadband service at home.
New seating has been set up along the Upper Main Street side of the historic Depot building, as well as a historic mail cart, bench and new café tables and chairs allow for impromptu gatherings and a place to bring take-out food and beverages.
