Volunteer Rosie Starr shares her recent visit to the Tusten Heritage Community Garden located on DeMauro Lane behind the Tusten Theatre and the Western Sullivan Public Library in Narrowsburg, NY.
We’ll hear the voices of volunteer workers and community members engaged in a labor of love repairing and enhancing the garden space, which centers on education and events that provide unique botanical resources for the community of the Upper Delaware Valley.
Hosted by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg, Mary Beth Hansohn, Director of HX Theatre Company, joined us in the garden after the Tusten Theatre performance of “Night of the New Moon” and shared some thoughts with us.
Founded by Andrea Reynosa, The Tusten Heritage Community Garden is a public green space inspired by indigenous heritage as well as ecological practices such as permaculture, pollinator planting, and edible forest design.
THCG is under the Direction of Board Members Anie Stanley – Chair & Treasurer, Elizabeth Green– Vice Chair & Secretary, and Clayton Lewis – Artistic Social Practice Consultant.
