On September 29, 2025, at approximately 11:11 a.m., a member of the New York State Police Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) stopped a 2025 Nissan traveling northbound on Interstate 87 for multiple traffic violations.
The driver and sole occupant was identified as Robert Brown, 39, of the Bronx, NY. Troopers determined Brown was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and that the Nissan had been reported stolen. He was taken into custody without incident.
A search of Brown yielded approximately 101 grams of cocaine and 38 grams of MDMA. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 2.89 grams of fentanyl.
Brown was transported to State Police Highland for processing and charged with the following:

Brown was arraigned at the Ulster County Centralized Arraignment and remanded to jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Town of New Paltz Court on October 1, 2025.
