An incarcerated individual was found unresponsive Saturday evening at Woodbourne Correctional Facility and was revived after staff administered Narcan, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
In a statement, DOCCS Assistant Public Information Officer Nicole March said the incident occurred on the evening of December 13, 2025. Facility staff responded immediately and transported the individual to the prison’s medical unit, where two doses of Narcan were administered. The individual responded to treatment and was later taken to an outside hospital for further evaluation.
March also noted that a second ambulance transported a different incarcerated individual to the hospital the same evening for an unrelated medical issue.
No additional details were released.
