The New York State Police Child Abuse Unit in Troop F has arrested Joseph W. Wallace, 51, of Liberty, NY, following an investigation into unlawful sexual conduct involving minors.
Wallace faces multiple charges, including:
- Predatory Sexual Assault of a Child (Class A-II felony)
- Rape in the 3rd Degree (Class E felony)
- Two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A misdemeanor)
According to authorities, the allegations involve sexual contact with a female under the age of 13 in Neversink and a female under the age of 17 in Fallsburg. The investigation was conducted by the New York State Police Child Abuse Unit in partnership with Child Protective Services (CPS).
Wallace was arraigned on September 16, 2025, in Fallsburg Town Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear again in court on September 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
