This month, Bill Williams will speak to Claire Miller. Claire is a master of interior architecture student at Boston Architectural College. She
lost her younger brother, Ethan, to fentanyl poisoning in 2019, which has pushed her to take her degree path in a new direction.
Now in her final semester of school, Claire started 6th Sense Design, which focuses on the design of substance use disorder (SUD) recovery environments.
She is currently working with a South Florida-based nonprofit to develop a recovery residence for women. She is passionate about the intersection of evidence-based design and SUD treatment and recovery. She believes
that well-designed spaces should be accessible to all populations and align with programming to yield best possible outcomes.
