“Bus Driver Shortage…”
Last week was the first day back at school… or the *first* first day of school! … for many students around New York State. But some students who wanted to go to school …were stranded.
26 million students rely on the school bus to get to school. But schools around the country… are facing a growing school bus driver shortage.
Recently, Pine Bush Central School District in Orange County found out right before the first day of school last Wednesday… that some students would not get rides. On Friday and Monday, they closed schools for all students while they adjusted schedules. Today, the busses are finally rolling, and school is back in session! But the shortage remains.
