Honesdale, PA — The Wayne/Pike Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative (NSPI) will host the ninth annual “SHARE THE JOURNEY” Suicide Awareness, Prevention, and Remembrance Walk on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley, Pennsylvania.
Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., followed by a short program recognizing the grief of families and friends who have lost loved ones to suicide. The remembrance walk will begin immediately afterward.
The event is free and open to the public and will include refreshments, giveaways, and basket raffles. Please note, pets are not permitted.
The walk serves as a community-wide effort to:

Share grief and honor loved ones lost to suicide

Raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health resources

Fight stigma that prevents people from seeking help

Fund local programs that provide education and support in Wayne and Pike counties
All donations remain in Wayne and Pike Counties, supporting suicide prevention and mental health programs in the region. Participants may register and donate on-site or send a contribution by check made payable to NSPI, c/o Carol Kneier, 601 Park Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
