The National Weather Service says a very cold and blustery Arctic air mass will push into the area Thursday and Friday, likely bringing the coldest temperatures and wind chills of the season. Sullivan County’s warming shelters will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the nights of January 27, 28, 29, and 30, and possibly thereafter, if the official forecast shows overnight temperatures at or below 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
