Applications for public assistance can now be filled out online, at MyBenefits.ny.gov. Once received applicants will receive a call from a worker to conduct an eligibility interview within 24 to 72 hours. Applications can also be filed by mail or in person with the County Department of Family Services. Emergency situations should still be handled by stopping by or calling the office at 845-292-0100.
