HONESDALE, PA — Overnight road closures are scheduled next week on Terrace Street in Honesdale as work continues on a stormwater improvement project aimed at addressing flooding in the area, borough officials said.
Terrace Street will have daytime lane closures on Monday, March 30. Beginning Tuesday night, March 31, the street will be fully closed overnight in the construction zone from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a detour in place.
The closures are part of ongoing work on the Vine/Terrace/Fourth Street Stormwater Project. The borough’s contractor, Pioneer Construction, has been carrying out repairs and upgrades to the stormwater system in recent weeks.
Borough officials said the project is intended to provide a long-term solution to flooding that has affected the area around Vine Street, Commercial Street and Terrace Street.
Officials also thanked residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction.
