We continue with our series, Year in Review, as 2020 comes to a close, many of us are looking forward to a hopefully better 2021. WJFF got a chance to sit down, virtually, with some town supervisors of Sullivan County to see how this year went for them and what they are looking forward to in 2021.
Patricio Robayo spoke with the Town of Fallsburg Supervisor Steven Vegliante.
The intro before Patricio took almost a minute. Would be more effective if rather than having the supervisor talk, set out a series of questions…Covid talk could have been reduced…he looped back. Nothing about real issues of development, what are the pressures…good news of railtrail fine, but much of a y ear’s summary with serious issues not broached. A promo for the rail bed…celebrate…but what else…environmental pressures, participation of citizens at meetings…get some stats…when he says town bd excellent…rel examples…what are the problems apart from Covid…interviewer needs to challenge him. Kind of a pr job for the town. Too many generalities…not challenged or questioned. Be in touch is not the same as serious invovlement Development pressure is coming. Take away rail trail, and a good board. Make the round up challenging to the listener.
