The Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program for Seniors assists with affordable products for eligible seniors while supporting local farmers. Farmer’s Market Coupon booklets are being distributed beginning July 25. Each booklet contains five (5) $5 coupons, for a total of $25. Coupons are valid through November 30, 2022 at participating Farmer’s Markets.
Coupons are available to eligible seniors on a first-come, first-served basis for New York State residents 60 years of age or older. You must affirm that your income is no more than
- For a 1-person household: $2,096 a month; or
- For a 2-person household: $2,823 a month; or
- For a 3-person household: $3,551 a month; or
- You are currently receiving or are eligible for SSI, public assistance, SNAP (food stamps), or Section 8 housing.
Coupons may be picked up at the Office for the Aging in the Government Center in Monticello between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the Transportation Building, 401 Airport Road, Swan Lake, every Tuesday or Thursday in August from 10 a.m.to 1 p.m.
