County Tax Auction Coming in September
The Sullivan County Treasurer’s Office reminds the public that the repurchase period for tax-foreclosed properties is almost over.
“Former property owners have until August 23 to regain ownership by repurchasing their property from us,” County Treasurer Nancy Buck notes. “If a former owner does not repurchase before August 23, the property will be sold at public tax auction on September 11. So I urge people to get in touch with us immediately if they believe they have the means to repurchase their properties. We will work with them as much as the law allows, as we always wish to help taxpayers avoid the loss of their buildings and lands.”
