Freezing Temperatures Returning; Here Are Some Tips for Keeping Pets Safe

This month, New York State went through several big snow storms, leading to the closure of schools and widespread power outages. Now, freezing temperatures are back, especially at night.

While residents typically take measures to shield themselves from the harsh winter conditions, the well-being of our four-legged friends in these extreme weather events raises an important question: What about our pets?

Radio Catskill’s Leying Tang spoke to Sharon Hawa, the Senior Manager for emergency services from Best Friends Animal Society about how we can protect our pets at home and animals in shelters during winter weather.
