Rosie shares her visit to the Delaware River Valley Catskill mountain homestead “Smokey Belles” where community member Anie Stanley taps her trees for maple syrup.

Anie was sharing the warmth of winter outdoors around an impressive campfire with friends who offered a variety of crock pot chili stews. We walked in the woodland among the moss-covered rocks with sap dripping into buckets while Anie explained her method of tapping her maple trees.
