Posted on February 13, 2024February 23, 2024 by Patricio Robayo

The Lunar New Year fell on Saturday, Feb. 10, and marked the year of the dragon, which symbolizes honor and success in the Chinese zodiac.

Radio Catskill’s newest intern Leying Tang is a Chinese student based in New York City. She was curious how Chinese and Chinese Americans celebrate Lunar New Year in the United States and the difference in traditions when people celebrate the same festival in different countries.

Leying interviews two of her friends to talk about their experiences and traditions in Lunar New Year.
