Liberty’s 5th Annual Litter Pluck and Car Seat Checks

Posted on April 21, 2025 by Tim Bruno

The Liberty Police Department’s 5th Annual Litter Pluck event is April 26. The event will also feature free car seat checks by a certified CPS (Car Passenger Safety) technician.

Volunteers will be provided with litter-plucking tools and garbage bags and will work in groups to clean up trash throughout the Village of Liberty. The police department emphasizes that the more volunteers participate, the greater the area that can be covered.

The free car seat check service will be available to anyone who wants to ensure their child’s car seat is correctly installed. The technician will require parents or guardians to fill out a form with information about their child, including age, height, and weight.

Those unable to attend the event can still schedule a free car seat check by calling the Village of Liberty Police Department at (845) 292-4422.

Food and drinks will be provided for all volunteers at the event. The Village of Liberty Police Department looks forward to your participation.
