The CDC issued a call to reopen schools in a package of new “resources and tools” posted on its website last night that opened with a statement that —-as the New York Times said — “sounded more like a political speech than a scientific document, listing numerous benefits for children of being in school and downplaying the potential health risks.” How are local schools balancing safety with reopening? Radio Catskill’s Tim Bruno spoke with Dr. Sean McVeigh, head of the COVID19 unit at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, who’s been asked by local school districts for his guidance.
