MILFORD, Pa. — More than 200 Pike County children competed Saturday, April 18, at the 28th Annual Pike County Commissioners Fishing Derby for Children under 15, held at Lily Pond, with this year’s top prize resulting in a tie for the largest catch.
Officials said two anglers—Alaska Hicks, competing in the 5 & under division, and Levi Ligenzowski from the 6 & 7 year division—each landed a trout measuring 16½ inches, tying for the overall largest catch of the day.
Results were as follows:
5 & Under
1st — Alaska Hicks, 16½”*
2nd — Gabriel Vega, 12”
3rd — Mason Ligenzowski, 11½”
6 & 7 Year Olds
1st — Levi Ligenzowski, 16½”*
2nd — Jason Montana, 12½”
3rd — Weslyn Hicks, 10½”
8 & 9 Year Olds
1st — Lacy Imperiale, 12”
2nd — Mia Ligenzowski, 11½”
10 & 11 Year Olds
1st — Johnny Montana, 13”
2nd — Jace Ross, 13”
3rd — Nick Imperiale, 12”
12 & 13 Year Olds
1st — Johnny Marrone, 11”
2nd — Kennedy Stead, 11”
3rd — Sage Stead, 11”
14 & 15 Year Olds
1st — Anthony Marrone, 11½”
