PennDOT Challenges Students to Find Seatbelt Safety Solutions

Posted on October 10, 2024October 14, 2024 by Nia Watson

The most common mode of transportation in the United States is driving, and according to the CDC, car accidents result in about 100 fatalities a day at a national level. Those who forgo using a seatbelt in passenger vehicles face an even greater risk than those who buckle up.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is working on solutions to this issue, and they are seeking input from the youngest demographic of drivers: high school students.
