DUNMORE, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is hiring seasonal employees for its 2026-27 Winter Maintenance Program, with positions running from September through April. The agency says some seasonal jobs may also lead to permanent employment.
PennDOT will hold an in-person hiring event Tuesday, Aug. 4, from noon to 5 p.m. at designated district locations across northeast Pennsylvania.
Open positions include:
- Transportation Equipment/CDL Operator — $23.46 per hour
- Dispatcher — $17.73 per hour
- Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic — $28.94 per hour
- Automotive Mechanic — $25.47 per hour
- Semi-Skilled Laborer and Tradesman Helper — $18.83 per hour
