Pike County Transportation will increase its fares starting July 1, 2026 based on zones and distance.
Fares vary depending on if riders are paying full fare or have reduced co-pay. Pike County Transportation provides transportation for county residents through four programs, including discounted shared-ride travel for senior citizens, free Medical Assistance rides, reduced-fare shared rides for people with Disabilities, and general public standard fare rides.
One-way fare changes are as follows:

Pike County provided more than 30,000 rides in 2025, according to Pike County’s Transportation Director Robert Ruiz. “But the most popular program would be our seniors’ shared-ride program which contributed to about 17,000 rides,” said Ruiz.
Ruiz added that routes were designed with Pike County’s location situated at the intersection of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania in mind.
“We had to make sure that we are able to go to Goshen, Middletown, Sparta, Newton, Wayne County [and] Lackawanna County as well because that’s where the doctors are,” said Ruiz. “We’ve had to really make sure that we have enough resources and also make sure that we are using them correctly to get people to where they need to get to for those important appointments.”
Residents are required to enroll in a Pike County Transportation program to access the transit options and must book a trip in advance.
The transportation office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, though Ruiz says he’s working on expanding county services to evening and weekend hours.
You can schedule an appointment by calling the Pike County Transportation office at 570-296-3408 or 866-681-4947.
