According to social media posts and Mid-Hudson News, a staircase collapsed Sunday evening outside the ski chalet at Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, NY.
A social media post from the scene indicated that five patients were transported by ambulance, while a Villa Roma van was used to take five additional individuals for medical evaluation.
Mid-Hudson News reported that eight people were taken to the hospital in Callicoon, with two others transported to Garnet Health Medical Center Catskills in Harris. The conditions of those involved were not immediately known.
New York State Police are investigating the cause of the collapse.
