LIBERTY, N.Y. (AP) — The Sullivan County Board of Cooperative Educational Services administrative budget for 2026–27 has been approved by its component school boards.
The $3.7 million budget was approved April 28 and reflects ongoing collaboration among the county’s school districts to support shared educational programs and services.
Sullivan BOCES also announced the appointment of three board members whose terms begin July 1.
Incumbent Amador Laput, representing the Eldred Central School District, was re-elected. Maureen Crescitelli, representing the Liberty Central School District, and Lori Orestano-James, representing the Monticello Central School District, were newly appointed.
Crescitelli will replace Erin Abplanalp, who had been serving the remainder of a one-year term previously held by the late Anthony Sinacore of Liberty. Orestano-James will fill the Monticello seat previously held by Susan Horton.
The organization also recognized Horton for her service on the board since 2015.
Sullivan BOCES board members represent the agency’s component school districts. They are elected by local boards of education and serve three-year terms.
