We spoke to Sullivan County Treasurer Nancy Buck, who shared a reminder about the fast-approaching repurchase deadline for tax-foreclosed properties, and shared her thoughts on the fiscal state of the county.
If you’d like to repurchase your tax-foreclosed property, Aug. 23 will be the last day to do so at the cost of all outstanding taxes, a New York State recording fee and a fee to the auction company. After the deadline, the properties will be put up for auction on Sept. 11. To repurchase your property, call the Sullivan County Treasurer’s Office at 845-807-0200 or email taxes@sullivanny.us.
