The Kingfisher Project is a volunteer-based community information project aimed at creating greater awareness and understanding of the heroin and opioid epidemic in our community and across the nation.
Tonight’s guest is Allison Weingarten – Director of Policy for Friends of Recovery – New York (for-ny.org). Allison will be telling us about the origins of FOR and the vital work they do. She’ll also be informing us about this year’s Stand Up For Recovery Day on February 8th, an all-day virtual event that will include the opportunity for online meetings with state legislators.
