KINGSTON, NY – Young artists in Ulster County have the opportunity to design the “I Voted” stickers that will be distributed to voters on Election Day this November. The Ulster County Board of Elections is calling on students ages 9 to 18 to participate in the 2025 “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest.
The winning design will be chosen from submissions that incorporate the words “I Voted” and are up to the student’s interpretation. The contest is open from April 15 to June 30, 2025.
Artwork can be submitted in a variety of mediums, including crayon, paint, pencil, or digital formats. Submissions should be in a 2-inch circular design and can be hand-drawn or created digitally. Students can submit their work as a photo, PDF, or JPEG to elections@co.ulster.ny.us.
This year, a panel of community arts leaders will join the Ulster County Board of Elections Commissioner in selecting the top five designs. The county’s Arts, Culture, and Open Spaces initiative selected the following panelists:
* Danielle Bliss, Wishbone Letterpress & HV Hullabaloo Holiday Market Owner
* Vanessa Cappuccio-Baer, Arts Mid-Hudson
* Margaret (Maggie) Inge, Midtown Kingston Arts District Board President
* Melanie Martin, New York Foundation for the Arts Sales Director
* Bryant Andrews, Center for Creative Education Executive Director
* Ulster County Director of Arts, Culture, and Open Spaces
The public will then vote on their favorite finalist designs later this summer. The winning design will be printed and distributed to voters across Ulster County on November 4, 2025.
