Ulster County is accepting applications for funding to support programs serving young people during the 2026-2027 program year.
The Office of Children and Family Services Reimbursement Grant Funding is available to organizations providing youth services and opportunities in Ulster County. Applications are due Sept. 15, 2026, for programs operating from Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2027.
Eligible applicants include Ulster County municipalities and 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based organizations operating in the county. Applicants must have a federal identification number and charity registration number and meet the county’s insurance requirements.
Funding is available in three categories: youth development, youth sports education and youth team sports.
The Ulster County Youth Bureau will hold an in-person technical assistance session Sept. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Restorative Justice Center, 733 Broadway in Kingston. Staff from the Youth Bureau, Social Services and Risk Management will be available to answer questions and help organizations with the application process.
Organizations that cannot attend the session can contact the Youth Bureau to arrange one-on-one assistance. Staff are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for in-person, phone or email support.
“Youth programs can make all the difference in a child’s development, happiness, and long-term well-being,” said Ulster County Youth Bureau Director Sugely Melenciano-Weed. “This funding helps us support programs that give youth safe spaces, meaningful opportunities, and the tools they need to thrive.”
Information and applications are available at ulstercountyny.gov/youth-bureau/funding-application.
