KINGSTON, N.Y. — Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger will mark Earth Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the county’s first direct current rapid electric vehicle chargers in southern Ulster County.

The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at the Trudy Resnick Farber Center, located at 50 Center St. in Ellenville.

County officials said the installation of the chargers represents a step forward in expanding clean transportation infrastructure in the region.

Metzger is expected to be joined by Evan Trent, Joe Stoeckeler, TJ Briggs, as well as climate and community advocates.

The event is open to members of the media and the public.
