HONESDALE, PA. — The Wayne County Area Agency on Aging is inviting residents to participate in monthly caregiver and grief support groups at the Earl J. Simons Senior Center, 323 10th St., Honesdale.
The Caregiver’s Support Group meets on the third Wednesday of each month, while the Grief Support Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays. Both groups meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
The next Caregiver’s Support Group meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16. Grief Support Group meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The meetings are described as informal and informational. Volunteer facilitators are experienced and understanding, with the goal of providing an opportunity for participants to find comfort, share ideas and connect with others in similar situations.
Participants are asked to RSVP if they plan to attend either group.
